"Piano is to Beijing, as violin is to Guangzhou." From industry traditions in Wuzhou, Guangzhou’s leading violin making is evident. Just as Rome was not built in a day, Guangdong violin making as we know it today is comprised of three generations of unremitted efforts and careful crafting.
Guangzhou Consortium is a collection of Violin Making historians, with the specific goal of passing on the rich heritage of generations of violin makers to give the gift of beautiful, hand-made master violins to the world.
Four accomplished makers who formed the Guangzhou Consortium are: Danio Wu, Dennis Yi, Lelio Pan, and Marco Jian. All are classically trained in the art of violin making. These talented makers are working together to make world-class violins that are priced within the reach of serious players everywhere.
